Judith Ann Hume, 67, passed away Monday June 7, 2010 at the I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis.

She was born May 12, 1943 in Oakland City to William and Lena (NcNew) Johnson. 

She retired after working seven years at the Gibson County Court House, where she worked in the Gibson County Superior Court and Probation Department. Prior to that, she worked for Buehlers Buy Low where she was in charge of general merchandise.

Judy lived in Princeton since 1988 moving from Oakland City where she lived most of her life.  She was a member of Brenton Chapel Church of Christ in Petersburg.

She is survived by her husband, State Senator Lindel Hume of Princeton, to whom she married Nov. 25, 1960; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. and Angela Hume of Princeton; a daughter, Deborah K. Hume Beck of Princeton; two brothers, William Johnson of Princeton, Jerry Johnson of Evansville; a sister-in-law, Gloria Johnson of Cerro Gordo, Ill.; six grandchildren, Ashley Suzanne, Ashley Nicole and Joshua Hume, Dustin and Derek Beck and Dillon Rupp; and several nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ted Johnson.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, IN. Burial will be in the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Friday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
