Helen L. (Young) Pollock, 81, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her daughter and granddaughter’s home in Bloomington surrounded by her family. 

Helen was born July 27, 1928 in Knox County.

She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

 She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Beverly Sue (Carl) Kelley of Francisco, Kenny Guard of New Haven, Ill., Doug Guard of Princeton, Becky Hale of Bloomington, Don (Lynda) Pollock of South Carolina, Debbie (Chan) Carter of Kempton;  two brothers, Dan Young, Vernon Young; a sister, Anna Mae Early; a nephew, Ottis Early; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Cecil (Sturgeon) Young; husband, Jess L. Pollock; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Tina Young; son-in-law, Stan Hale; and an aunt she was very close to, Velma Hoover.

 Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday May 28, 2010 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus, with Brother Jason Clark officiating with burial to follow.  There will be no visitation.  Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
