Bethal Jean Cook Flowers, 73, of Princeton,  formerly of Henderson, Ky., passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton after a nine year battle with cancer.

She was a member of Grace Outreach Church in HendersonBethal was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was a friend to everyone. She enjoyed life to the fullest.  She pulled her strength from the Lord and her battle was an inspiration to all whose lives she touched.  She loved to travel with her husband, and they twice traveled from one end of the country to the other.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Fullhart of Princeton; two sons, Alvin C. Thomas of Henderson, Ky., Bert E. Thomas and his wife, Terri, of Spottsville, Ky.; two sisters, Vesta M. Belvin of Calhoun, Ga., Lela Hillis of New Port Ritchey, Fla.; one brother, Hairl W. Cook of Lebanon, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 12 years, Willie J. Thomas in 1966; her second husband of 30 years, Richard A. Flowers in 2008; one son, Richard Alan Flowers in 1994; and her parents, Davis and Beatress Findley Cook.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home in Henderson, Ky. with Kevin Carter officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Willie McClure, Matthew Thomas, Jamison Armstrong, Michael Fullhart, Doug Key, and Andy Foltz.

Friends may call from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday and until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
