Milton “Milt” A. Hawkins, 75, of Princeton passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. He was born June 1, 1935 in Henning, TN to Tyrey & Claudia (Phillips) Hawkins. He had lived in the Princeton area since 2003 coming from Shafter, CA.

He retired in 2000 as a self-employed TV repairman. He was a former Kiwanis President and a volunteer for the Shilo Home for Abused Children in Shafter, CA.

He is survived by his wife Beverly of Princeton; 3 children Steve (Janet) Hawkins of Florida, Cindy (Phillip) Howze of Corpus Christi, TX, Robert (Beth) Hawkins of Princeton; 1 brother Mel Hawkins of Alabama; 1 sister Jean Lefler of California; 10 grandchildren Andrea, Steven, Tabitha, Jason, Cody, Taylor, BreAnn, Dylan, Andy and Tatum and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 15 at
3 P.M. at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Friends may visit from 2 until 3 P.M. on Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.
