Richard Keith Compton, 57, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis

Richard was born May 29, 1953 in Princeton and later moved to Evansville, where he lived for 25 years. 

He was employed by Emge Packing Co. and Whirlpool Corp. until his retirement.  He also worked part time at a family business.  Richard loved his sports, NASCAR races, his cats and his walks in Wesselman Park.

 He is survived by his son, Rob (Andrea) Compton of Fishers; granddaughter, Kayla Compton; sisters, Jan (Borden) Collins of Newburgh, Ann Dierlam of Evansville, Jill (Alan) Lowe of Newburgh; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Compton.

 Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton, with Pastor Louie Pantelis officiating.  Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the services. 

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
