Carlos W. Cundiff, 83, of Griffith, Ind. and formerly of Princeton, passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 at his home in Griffith

Carlos was born on Aug. 7, 1925 in Glens Fork, Ky. to Leslie and Annie (Collins) Cundiff.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army and worked more than 18 years as a pipefitter out of Local 597.  He loved to play golf after  retirement and enjoyed attending his annual Cundiff Reunion.  He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sarah Sue Cundiff of Griffith; daughter, Carla (Paul) Crock of Griffith; son, Carlos Lee Cundiff of Hobart; grandchildren, Brent (Veronica) Crock of Enterprise, Ala., Donya (Ryan) Clark of Indianapolis, Tiffany Cundiff, Carlee Cundiff and Brandon Walker all of Hobart; great-grandchildren, Mason, Riley and Avery Clark; brothers, Arlis (Lavada) Cundiff and William “Bill” Cundiff both of Princeton; sisters, Reba Harden and Treva Catt both of Princeton; and many nieces and nephews.

 He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Malcolm, Alfonso and Ralph Cundiff; and sisters, Opal Beloat, Pauline Beloat and Freda Strickland.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. John Stepp officiating.  Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Princeton.   Military graveside services will be conducted by VFW Post 1147.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
