O. C. Spence, 74, of Princeton passed away Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

Born Nov. 20, 1935 in Blytheville, Ark., he was the son of to Wylie H. and Callie L. (Potts) Spence. He lived in the Princeton area for the past 14 years moving here from Arkansas. He was a retired farm worker.

Survivors include his wife Shirley; daughter, Tamie McMullen; son, Paul Spence both of Lakeland, Fla; stepson, Lee Turner of Princeton; three brothers, Johnny of Chicago, Ill., Gene of Dell of Arkansas,  Bobby of Princeton; three sisters, Anita Lee of Dell, Arkansas, Shirley Gregory of Covert, Mich., Sandra Hull of Caruthersville, Mo.;  three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.

 Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Pat McCandless officiating. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be noon until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home.
