Virginia Pierce Degenhart, 90, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at The Waters in Princeton.

Born Sept. 11, 1920 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Harrison and Lula (Finney) Pierce.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Frederick; son, James Prickett; grandchildren, David and Eddie Prickett, Lana Kell, Tim (Sabrina) Frederick, Chuck (Jill) Frederick, Dallas (Jeremy) Ducharme; great-grandchildren, Nathanael Kell, Fauna Comer, Kaela McCrary, Keeva Workman, Ian McClellan, Chantel Horton, Toni McDowell, Jake Frederick, Marus Culp, Julia Marie, Whitney Wallace, Tyler Wallace, Cyi Wallace, Luke Ducharme, Josie Ducharme; nine more great-grandchildren; and many great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe Bud, Jack Pierce; husband, Dallas Degenhart; grandaughter, Teresa Culp; and great-grandson, Zachary Frederick.

A private memorial service will take place for the family. There will be no public visitation or services.

Virgina said she always wanted to go to college and said she would when she died, so she donated her body to the Indiana University Medical School.
