William “Bill” Farmer Jr., 56, passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at home.

He was a maintenance mechanic for plant operations at the former Welborn Baptist Hospital for 32 years.

He was a member of the Christian faith, past master of the Poseyville Lodge 632 and Constellation Lodge 748, Evansville Scottish Rite, No Ruz Grotto, Sword of Bunker Hill Pocket City Order 82, Sword of Bunker Hill Robert E. Lee Order 46 and Kentucky Colonels.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Fay (Winstead) Farmer; two sons, William Travis (Starlyn) Farmer,  Chance Tyler (Cheryl) Farmer; mother,Francis Louise (Smithhart) Strupp; stepfather, Arthur Strupp; stepbrother, Steve Strupp; sister, Faye (Farmer) Hart;  three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Farmer, Sr.; and stepbrother, Charles Farmer.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1800 St. George Road, Evansville with burial to follow in Sunset cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
