H. Frances Hyatt, 88, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Thursday Oct. 21, 2010 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing facility in Princeton.

 She was born April 17, 1922 in Griffin to Charles and Hattie (Lumn) Kern.

She moved to Princeton in 1952 from Poseyville. Frances was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, needlework and gardening.  She attended Mt. Tabor General Baptist Church.

 She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

 She is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Steve) Nixon of Princeton, Carol Slinker and Sue Ellen (Kenny) Muncy both of Wheeling; two sisters, Ruby Hinds of Joplin Mo.,Violet Matz of Sullivan; a brother, Manford Kern of Griffin; four grandchildren, Jill (Paul) Lavalle, Brian (Michele) Debord, Jason (Jamie) Slinker, Hallie Muncy; three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Ava Debord; Riley Slinker; special friends, Mike and Sandy Slinker of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lucian B. Hyatt on July 13, 2009; a grandson, Andrew Muncie; two brothers; and four sisters.

 A service of resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Monday Oct. 25, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Wayne Rowland and the Rev. Craig Duke officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
