Jan R Kidwell, 68, passed away Sept. 23, 2010 at home after a battle with cancer. 

He was a native of Oakland City and a graduate of Oakland City University. He retired from Alcoa after 30 years of service and moved to the Eastern Shore in 1999 to enjoy his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Lythgoe) Culver-Kidwell; mother, Neveda Kidwell of Oakland City; brother, Maurice Kidwell of White Oak, Texas; sons, Jed Kidwell of Carmel, Jay Kidwell of Lafayette; daughter, Julie Shuck of Indianapolis; stepchildren, Jeff Culver of Evansville, Rex Culver of Pittsburgh, Pa., Julie Pitassi, Harrisburg, Pa, Jason Culver of Laurel, Del.; 12 grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.

To all who knew Jan, Judy and the Kidwell-Culver family, we extend an invitation to a celebration in honor of Jan’s life.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at the Knights of Columbus, 313 W. Broadway St. in Princeton  for a   memorial service. Join us after the service for food, drink and to share memories.
