John O. Carnahan, 74, of Princeton passed away Tuesday Nov. 2, 2010 at St. Mary’s Warrick Serenity Unit at Boonville.

Born Dec. 22, 1935 in Fort Branch, he was the son of Earl and Etta Mae (Rainey) Carnahan.

He was a coal miner for more than 20 years, retiring in 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Helen “Sue” Carnahan of Princeton; a daughter Joni (Wayne) Jones of Princeton; two sisters, Mary Alice (John) Smith of Columbus, Helen Louise Carnahan of Vincennes; a stepgranddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Harold and Marion Carnahan; and a sister, Rosetta Manning.

 Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, with Pastor George Prinzing officiating. 

Visitation will be from 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.  Family and friends will go in procession to the cemetery for the services.
