Don F. Decker, 74, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4. 2010 at home with his family at his bedside.  

Born April 3, 1936 in Vincennes, he was the son of Wendell H. and Clementine Primus Decker.  

He graduated from Decker Chapel High School. He furthered his education at Purdue University where he received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture.  He was a farmer, having been involved in various agricultural areas.  He and his wife and family owned and operated Decker’s Berries near Hazleton.  He was active in the Gibson County Fair and 4-H.  He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and the American Hampshire Sheep Association.  

 He is survived by his wife of 49 and a half years, Jane Bryan Decker, who he married on April 16, 1961; children, Alan Bryan Decker and his wife, Beckie, of Tell City, Julie Talamantes and her husband, Eduardo, of Hazleton; his grandchildren, Alex Bryan and Aiyana Jo Talamantes and Matthew and Adam Daugherty;  his mother, Clementine Decker of Vincennes; and a brother Steven Decker and his wife Darlene of Vincennes.

 Graveside services will be celebrated at 2 p.m. (eastern 1 p.m. central) Saturday Nov. 6, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes.  Family and friends will gather at the Duesterberg-Frederick Funeral Home one hour prior to the services.
