Marjorie L. Tapley, age 87, of Princeton, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, Ind.

 
She was born on
July 26, 1923, in Sullivan, Ind., to Thomas and Mary (Chickadonz) Monk, whom precede. She was a department manager at K-Mart and a homemaker. On May 17, 1942, in Evansville, Ind., she was married to Darel Attis Tapley whom survives of Princeton, Ind. She was a member of The Oasis Assembly of God in Princeton.


Other survivors include sons, Norman (Rita) Tapley of Peach Tree City, Ga., and David (Kathy) Tapley of Evansville, Ind.; daughters, Janice (Jim) Mason of Patoka, Ind., Marilyn (Rick) Sudsberry of Avon, Ind., and Cathy (Jeff) Barton of Princeton, Ind.; brothers, Kenneth Monk of Pontiac, Mich., Walter (Leone) Monk of Shelburn, Ind., and Dean (Jean) Monk of Kingwood, Texas; sisters, Maxine Page of Terre Haute, Ind., and Frances (Marvin) Cooley of Princeton, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

 
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Russell, Earnest, Edward, Carl and Raymond; and sisters, Helen and Pauline.
Funeral services will be
1 p.m. on Friday November 5, 2010, with Rev. Mike Marsh officiating at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670, with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery of Princeton, Ind.
