Mary Helen Dixon, 91 of Hazleton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010 at Gentle Care of Vincennes.

Mary Helen was born March 28, 1919 in Alvin, Ill. to William and Mattie Elizabeth (Wright) Bell

he lived her entire life in Hazleton where she was a member of the Hazleton United Methodist Church, Rebecca Lodge and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at Republic Aviation during the war and after that sold Avon for many years.

 She is survived by her husband, Albert “Hawk” Dixon of Vincennes; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sharon Dixon of Vincennes; granddaughter, Shannon Dixon of Naples, Fla.; and grandson, Jared Dixon of Minneapolis, Minn.

She was preceded in death by parents; her stepfather C. A. Stevens; son, Keith Dixon; two sisters, Eleanor and Bertha, two brothers, Bordan and David; five stepsisters, Helen, Ruth, Pearl, Mae, and Edith; and one stepbrother, Martin.   

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Leah Robberts-Mosser officiating. Burial will be in the Hazleton Community Cemetery in Hazleton

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
