Marie Hannah (Fossler) Doerner, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville after a long bout with cancer.

Marie was a member of the Mackey Church of the Nazarene. She loved sewing, gardening, crocheting and especially spending time with her family.

She also enjoyed babysitting for local families. Marie was a teacher’s aide at Lynnville Elementary School for seven years.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Doerner of Lynnville; a son, Steve (Lita) Doerner of Mackey; three daughters, Lynnette (Tony) Heinz of Vincennes, Kathy (Kevin) Lunn of Olathe Kansas, Judy (David) Sheperd of Mt. Juliet Tenn.; one brother, Robert (Pat) Fossler of Lebanon Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Matt (Rhona) Doerner, Phillip (Karen) Doerner, Dan (Megan) Doerner, Lauren and Brandon Sheperd, Derek and Vanessa Heinz, Meg Lunn; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Hannah and Noble Doerner; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Minnie Fossler.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at the Mackey Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Chip Bullock and Rev. Bill Reed officiating Burial will follow in the Townsley Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church and from 8 a.m. until the service hour on Friday.

There will be no visitation at the Pemberton-Bradley Funeral Home in Lynnville. The family would like to extend special appreciation and thanks to the Deaconess Hospice Caregivers. She was much loved by all.
