Olivet M. (Huffine) Lear, 92, of Haubstadt, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at home. 

Born March 8, 1918, in Evansville, she was the daughter of John and Emma Huffine.

Olivet was a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved her family, playing cards with her friends, and watching game shows.  Olivet was a great cook and a very strong independent woman.

Olivet is survived by her daughters, Donna Jean Rexing (Alvin) of Haubstadt, Barbara Lee Chandler (Vernon) of Poole, Ky.; son, Frank Paul Lear (Donna) of Fort Branch; brother, Leroy Huffine of Evansville; seven grandchildren, Rick Rexing (Debbie), David Rexing (Myrna), Karen Rexing Griffith, Paula Lear Harding (Jason), Gregory Lear (Elisha), Nancy Chandler Crowley (Gary), Michael Chandler (Amber); great-grandchildren, Trent Rexing, Abbey Rexing, Claire Rexing, Madeline Griffith, Mary Griffith, Evan Harding, Connor Harding, Emily Crowley, Katie Crowley, Wayne Crowley, Alex Chandler, Drew Chandler, Addison Chandler, Chloe Chandler, Carina Rexing, Abby Lear; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Frank W. Lear; sisters, Louise Stein, Marie Sugg, Pauline Huffine, Dorothy Straker; and brothers, Jack Huffine and Norman Huffine.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Alexander West Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour time at the funeral home.
