Samuel A. Mayhugh, 93, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, in Farmington, Mo. 

Born Jan. 2, 1917 in Princeton, he was the son of Robert L. Mayhugh and Sudie M. (Law) Mayhugh

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a Bronze Star recipient.  He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors Include three sons, Dr. Sam (Arlene) Mayhugh, of Newport Beach, Calif., Charles (Sue) Mayhugh, of Wellington, Colo., David ( Gayla) Mayhugh, of Farmington, Mo.; a sister, Lena Ruth Martin, of Princeton;  five grandchildren, Brian, Todd, Chiquita, Marquita, Jeffrey; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Devyn, Trevor, Kathy, Tori, Nikki,  Amelia; and one great great-grandson, Dylan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathern (Kintner) Mayhugh; his second wife, Virginia Rourke; a daughter, Patricia Kay Mayhugh; and a grandson, Scott David Mayhugh.

There will be no visitation.  A graveside memorial service will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton at a later date.
