Arthur “Art” Alan Mitchem, 61, passed away Wednesday Dec. 22, 2010. 

 He was born Nov. 12, 1949 in Evansville.

He lived in Princeton for 25 years coming from Evansville. He was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton.

 Survivors include his wife, Madalyn “Maddy” Gay Mitchem of Princeton; daughter, Sara of Florida; mother, Joyce E. Newman; sister, Joyce Ann Smidley of Poland; and brother, Brent Lee Mitchem of Tulsa, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Mitchem.

There will be a memorial service at Hillside United Methodist Church in late January.  Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling arrangements.
