AUNT CHERRY TUCKER SUMMONED BY DEATH.

 

     Aunt Cherry Potts Tucker, 85, colored, fell dead at her home, 711 east State street at 12:15 o’clock Sunday afternoon (18 Aug 1929).  Death was caused by heart trouble.

 

     Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Pfohl funeral home conducted by Rev. Joseph Harrington.  Burial will be in Union cemetery.

 

     A nephew, George Wilson, resides at Chicago.  She is survived by other nephews and many friends.  Two husbands preceded her in death.  Ben Potts and Joseph Tucker.

 

     Aunt Cherry was born in Kentucky in slave times.  She came here about fifty years ago.

 

     She was a hard-working, Christian woman, loved by her many friends.
