Mrs. Virginia Martin

Oakland City, Ind., June 20 – (Special) – Mrs. Virginia Martin, age 83 years, 10 mo. 26 da., (born July 24, 1849,) prominent business woman of Oakland City, died at her home 125 South Main street, at noon Monday, (June 19, 1933,) following a three weeks illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the late residence, with the Rev. Ralph B. Colton, of the Presbyterian church of which she was a member in charge. Interment in the Montgomery cemetery.

Surviving to mourn the death of Mrs. Martin are two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Deutsch and Mrs. Melissa Parker, both Oakland City; two grandchildren, Miss Madgeline and Robert Deutsch; and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Martin owned and operated a millinery store in Oakland City for more than 30 years, having retired a few years ago.
