Jay H Sowder Dies Last Night

 

  Jay H Sowder, well known farmer residing northwest of the city along highway 41, died at 7 o’clock last night after a long illness.

 

  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the General Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. Jesse Hall,  of Oakland City.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

 

  Surviving besides the wife, Lou E Sowder, are three sons, Thomas, of Princeton; James, Lawrenceville Ill.; Samuel, Indianapolis; five daughters, Mrs. Nannie Ahlemann, Owensville;  Mrs Lizze McLemore, Oakland City; Mrs. Fannie Wallace, Mrs. Pearl Edwards and Mrs. Thelma Lemmons, all of Princeton.  Mr. Sowder formerly resided at Oakland City.
