MRS. ETTA GARRETT, 67, 1415 southeast Second street, Evansville, wife of Police Officer Thomas J. Garrett, turnkey at police headquarters, died at 9:45 o’clock Wednesday night, April 28, 1943, at St. Mary’s hospital there.

Becoming ill last Saturday, she had been in the hospital since Sunday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Maumee church, near Owensville, with Elder Shoultz officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving besides the husband are a daughter, Garland W., Evansville; a sister, Mrs. Hartley, Louisville, Ky.; a brother W. J. Lynn, Indianapolis; two nieces, Mrs. David Higginbotham and Mrs. Jeff Higginbotham and a nephew, Orville Riddle of Owensville.
