MARTHA BELL

Mrs. Martha Bell, 73, wife of George Bell, died at 9:15 o'clock Sunday night at her home, 407 West Emerson street, following several months illness.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Broadway Christian church, with the pastor, the Rev. C. A. Underwood, officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.  The body is at the Colvin and Son mortuary until the funeral hour.

 

Surviving besides the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Frank LaRoche, Princeton; four son, Robert and Walter, of Princeton, Charles of Evansville, Pfc George Bell, U.S. Army in India; four sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Dill, Mrs. Mary Spencer, Princeton, Miss Rose Wilhite and Ruth Wilhite, south of Princeton; three brothers, George, Jess and Isaac Wilhite, all south of the city; and 14 grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Bell was born south of Princeton on September 10, 1871, and was a lifelong resident of Princeton and Gibson county.  She was a member of the Broadway Christian Church.
