MRS OLIVE O. BENTON PASSES AWAY HERE AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Olive O. Benton, 75, died about 10:10 p.m. Wednesday (19 Jun 1947) at her home at 515 W. Broadway following an illness of several months.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Colvin and Son Chapel with Dr. L.C. Jeffrey officiating.  Burial will be in White church cemetery.

 

Surviving are the husband, George T. Benton one son, A. v. Benton of Pompano, Fla; two brothers, James Tichenor and Elmer Tichenor, both of Princeton; one grandson, Kenneth Ballard and a great grandson Kenny Lee Ballard of Evansville.

 

Mrs. Benton was born west of Princeton in Gibson county on Jun 1, 1872, and had lived her entire lifetime in Princeton and Gibson county.

 

She was a member of the First Methodist church, the DFO of the church, and the Women's Relief Corps.

 

Mrs. Benton will be at the Colvin and Son Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday.
