KELSO ALEXANDER DIES IN PRINCETON
Kelso Alexander, 66, native of Mt. Vernon and for 33 years a
section foreman for the C. & E. I. Railroad, died in a hospital in
Princeton, Ind., Sunday. He had been in ill health for many years but had
visited in Mt. Vernon frequently, having been here a week ago.
After leaving Mt. Vernon he moved to Owensville and for the past
30 years had resided in Princeton.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the V.F.W. the
American Legion, Odd Fellows and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Mrs
Howard E. Jameson, of Princeton and Mrs. Albert Shelton of Evansville; sisters,
Miss Carrie of Princeton and Mrs. William Frickett of
Barren Springs, Md. and two grandchildren.
Miss Dercie Richards, Mrs. Henry
Schaeffer and Mrs. Elisha Barton all of Mt. Vernon,
are cousins of the deceased.
He was the son of Leander and Floread
Wilson Alexander, pioneer residents of Posey county.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Wright and
Kendall Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. R. I. Hester in charge.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery there. The V.F.W. will have
services at the grave.
