AMOS A BEASLEY

Amos A. Beasley, 64, retired coal miner of Princeton died at the Gibson General hospital Saturday morning about 9:15 o'clock following an illness of two weeks.

 

Surviving are the wife, Ollie Taylor Beasley; three daughters, Mrs. Ivan Bailey and Mrs. Roy McDevitt of Francisco; and Mrs. Robert Phelps of Eua Gallie, Fla; three sons, John C. U. S. Navy, Key West, Fla., William of Princeton, and Cecil of Francisco; four brothers, Crawford, Bret, Brade and Virgil all of Francisco; two sisters, Mrs. Millie Powell of Francisco, and Mrs. Julia Hannah of Evansville.  Nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Francisco Methodist church with Rev. Paul Howard and Rev. Guthrie Hughes officiating.  Burial will be in the Forsythe cemetery near Oakland City.

 

Mr. Beasley was born in Francisco on March 5, 1888 and had resided in Princeton for the past two years, moving here from Francisco.

 

He was a member of UMW local 5584.

 

Mr. Beasley will be taken to his home at 708 East Broadway from Colvin and Son mortuary on Sunday afternoon where friends may call.
