Grant Wise, 101, Route 1, Patoka, died Friday at 5:50 p.m. At the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes after a short illness.

Mr. Wise was born September 30, 1866, in Pike County.

He had been a lifelong resident of Gibson County. Mr Wise was a retired Kings coal miner.

Mr. Wise was preceded in death by his wife Addie Cline Wise in 1940. He is survived by five nieces and two nephews.

Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. With burial in White Church Cemetery. Dr. N I. Schoolfield officiated. Kendall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
