Obituary taken from Princeton Clarion dated 7/18/1978:

"Mamie Lee (Camp) Rogissard Alvis - At the age of 92, Mamie L. Alvis died in Sarasota, Fla., on Monday morning, July 17, 1978.

She was born in Indiana on July 20, 1885, and had resided in Sarasota for the past 20 years.

Survivors include five sons, Earl, Sarasota, Kermit and Orville, both of Bradenton, Fla., Cecil, Canon, Ga., and Fred, Princeton; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia McAnally, Princeton, Mrs. Nigel Wise, Francisco, and Mrs. Ruby Mattox, Somerville; 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.  (Son Fred not listed on any census records, the could have been thinking of husband Fred Alvis)

The Rev. Duane Hamilton will officiate at the 2 p.m. Thursday services in Colvin Funeral Home. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home."
