Ronald G. Fitch, R.R.2, Princeton became Gibson county’s 1st traffic fatality of 1971 when he died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Deaconess Hospital of injuries sustained in a one car crash near Princeton early Friday morning, January 22.

 

Fitch was born in Princeton Sept. 28, 1945 and lived here his entire life. He was a brakeman for the Southern Railroad. He was a member of Faith United Methodist church, VFW and eagles lodge. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968.

 

Survivors in his wife Fredericka; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Fitch of Princeton; one brother Michael Fitch serving with the US Navy in the state of Washington; his grandmother, Mrs. Robert Carter, Princeton and a great grandmother, Mrs. Lena Hollen, Princeton.
