Juanita Hale

  Funeral services for Juanita T. Hale were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Colvin Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Kirkpatrick officiating.  Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.

  Mrs. Hale died on Saturday morning, May 27, 1978 in her home, Mount Olympus, at the age of 64.

  She was born in Mount Olympus on Sept. 30, 1913,  and had resided there for the past 17 years.  Mrs. Hale retired from Reserve Life, Vincennes.  She was a member of the First United Medhodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, Pike county, in which she was past district president and past state chaplin.

  She is survived by her husband, Oliver; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Bette) Coomer, Mount Olympus; her mother, Mrs. Opha Thompson, Princeton; two brothers, Ralph Thompson, Mount Olympus,  and Joe Stanley Thompson, Terre Haute; two sisters, Mrs. Doyle (Louphoeba) Bilderback, Princeton, and Mrs. Gresham (Avon) Shoultz, Newburgh; two grandchildren, Rhea Coomer, Terre Haute, and Leslie "Shay" Coomer, at home.  One brother, John Howard Thompson was killed in World War II.
