Charles Bert Rector, 80, Princeton, died at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday (25 Apr 1973) at Gibson General Hospital. He had been in poor health for the past year.

 

He was born at Albion, Ill, October 18, 1892 and he moved to Princeton 67 years ago, He was a retired Southern Railroad employee who worked as a carman. He was a member of the seventh day Adventist Church of Vincennes and B.R.C. of A. Lodge.

Surviving is the wife, Julia; three step-daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Vickers, Francisco, Mrs. Virginia Bruner and Mrs. Marie Happe, both of Evansville; one Step-son, James Turpin, Princeton; three sisters, Mrs Hattie Tharp and Mrs Blanche Borah, both of Princeton and Mrs Gertrude Malcom, Mount Carmel, Ill; one brother, Walter Rector, East St. Louis, Ill; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Colvin Chapel. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at Colvin and Son Mortuary after 3 p.m. Thursday.
