MISS HELEN BEAN (1896 – 1975)

 

Miss Helen Bean, 78, of Princeton died on Sunday afternoon at Gibson General Hospital after an illness of several months.

 

Miss Bean was born on February 13, 1896 in Princeton (daughter of Samuel & Anna Bean) where she had been a lifetime resident.  She was a retired second grade teacher of Lowell School.  Miss Bean was a member of the First United Methodist Church; a member of the Tri-Kappa Sorority, and a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma.

 

Surviving are four nephews, James and Raymond Bean, both of Royal Oak, Mich., John Bean of Pontiac, Mich., and Thomas Bean of Ortonville, Mich.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Colvin Chapel with the Rev. Jack Barnett Haskins officiating.  Burial will be in the (Princeton) I.O.O.F Cemetery.

 

Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
