FRED L. BEAUCHAMP

 

1979 (1906 – 1971)

Fred L. Beauchamp, 64, of Oakland City died at 4:56 p.m. Saturday after suffering a heart attack.

 

Mr. Beauchamp established his first Beauchamp Engineering Co., in Bicknell,  After the business was destroyed by fire he moved to Oakland City in 1947 where he resided for a while and then returned to Bicknell.  Mt. Beauchamp had resided in Oakland City since 1957 where he had a business at the present location on the west edge of Oakland City.  Mt. Beauchamp was a member of the Good Shepard United Methodist church, but attended the First Christian church where he was active in work with the young people.

 

Surviving are his wife, Dorotha, a son, Fred E. of Oakland City; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Berbaum of Centralia, Ill; brothers, Faye of Richardson, Texas, Joy of oakland City, Jewel of Jackson, Mo., and Jay of Sedalia, Mo., and four grandchildren.

 

Services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Corn Mortuary with Rev. Harold Hatfield officiating.  Burial was in Montgomery Cemetery.
