WAYNE BEDWELL

Wayne V Bedwell, 58, of Fenton, Mo., formerly of Oakland City, died on Sunday night at St. John Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

 

He was born Sep. 22, 1916, in Sullivan County, and had moved from Oakland city 15 years ago to Fenton, Mo.  Bedwell was employed by the Chrysler corp. in Fenton.  He was a veteran of World War II.

 

Surviving are his wife, Earldean; one son, Captain James Bedwell of San Antonia, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Leah Peters of St. Clair, Mo., Mrs Melba Hines of Mount Vernon and Mrs. Marsha Toyne of Ferguson, Mo; four brothers, Donald and Ronald and Carlisle, Wesley of Sullivan and Charles of Belfast, N.Y; five sisters, Mrs. Lois Cox of Carlisle, Mrs. Thelma Mehay of Gary and Miss Charlotte Bedwell, Miss Mary Lou Bedwell and Miss Mona Margaret Bedwell, all of Sullivan, and 14 grandchildren.

 

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Providence Primitive Baptist Church near Somerville, with the Rev. Dale Bates officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Corn Mortuary.
