Lowell W. Armstrong, 84, of rural Hazleton, died at 1:25 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 1987, at Gibson General Hospital.
 

He was born Aug. 15, 1902 near Mt. Olympus and resided in the Mt. Olympus-Hazleton area all his life.
 

He was a retired school teacher, having taught at Giro, Wheeling and Hazleton, and was the retired owner-operator of Hazleton Farm Supply. He was a graduate of Mt. Olympus High School and Oakland City College, and a member of the Hazleton United Methodist Church and 50-year member of Hazleton Masonic Lodge.
 

Preceding him in death were his wife, Eunice Arthur Armstrong; one son Arthur Lowell; an infant daughter; and three brothers, Lawrence, Randall, and Tolice ‘Jack’.
 

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Ellen) Longabaugh of Hazleton and Mrs. Phil (Jane) Harvey of Florissant, Mo.; grandchildren, Chuck and Janice Longabaugh, Chuck and Cathy Briner, Greg and Linda Longabaugh, Steve and Mary Alice Pittman, Jeff and Susan Masterson, Jeff and Kristin Hejna, and Kurt Harvey; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Gladish of Hazleton; two brothers, Darwin Armstrong of Princeton and George Armstrong of Mt. Olympus; and several nieces and nephews.
 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home, 425, N. Main, Princeton, with Rev. Robert McCracken and Rev. Ralph Holdeman officiating.
 

Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Hazleton.
