KIRKPATRICK-Dahl J. Kirkpatrick, 84, a

                     resident of Albuquerque for 41 years, was born in

                     Tacoma, Washington, March 7,1907, to John and

                     Agnes Tison Kirkpatrick. He grew up in Handle,

                     WA, where his father was an early day forest

                     ranger on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest,

                     from 1908-1934. Dahl graduated from the Universi-

                     ty of Washington. After 37 years of service, he

                     retired in 1965 from the US Forest Service as

                     Assistant Regional Forester for Timber Manage-

                     ment in the Southwestern Region. He was a life  

                     member of the Society of American Foresters, and

                     Siuslaw Lodge, No. 192 in Mapleton, Oregon, and

                     the Zia Daylight Lodge, No. 77, A.F. & A.M. Dahl

                     was also a founding member of Southwestern

                     Forest Service Amigos. He is survived by his wife,

                     Ella; daughter, Elsie Kimbrell and husband,

                     David of Arlington, VA; son, John R. Kirkpatrick

                     and wife, Carolyn of Fairfax, VA; step-daughter,

                     Sue Gunckel and husband, Fred; step-son, James

                     Egan and wife, Suzie LaBelle; and grandchildren,

                     Lara, Aaron, and Jeff Kimbrell, John Kirkpatrick,

                     Jason Kirkpatrick and wife. Shannon, and Elise

                     Egan. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m.,

                     at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111

                     University NE. Dr. James H. Rucker officiating.

                     Entombment will follow at Chester T. French

                     Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul NE with Dr.

                     James H. Rucker and Zia Daylight Lodge #77 A.F.

                     & A.M. officiating. Pallbearers will be William C,

                    Winkler, James Egan, John H. and Jason Kirkpat-

                     rick, Aaron Kimbrell and Stanton Wyche. Honor-

                     ary pallbears will be William Hale, William Bayer,

                     Lavelle Thompson, Leo Chavez, Louis Leidman,

                     Jr., Dean D. Cutler, Walter L. Graves, Sanford

                     Fish, David H. Kimbrell, Fred Gunckel, Roy 0.

                     and David Hoover, Jeff Kimbrell, Tom Copeland

                     and all former Forest Service Associates. Friends

                     may visit French Mortuary, Tuesday, until 9 p.m.
