Ada Ruth Strawn, 63, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 1991 at Forest Del Convalescent Center in Princeton.

 

She was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Princeton and resided here most of her life.

 

She was a retired executive director of the Gibson County Council on Aging. She formerly worked at the Plating Works in Princeton, and Potter and Brumfield.  She was a former member of the Professional Secretaries Association, and the Moose Lodge.

 

Preceding in death was her parents, Herman and Ida (White) Ingler.

 

Surviving are a son, Tony Strawn of Henderson;  a grandson, Todd Strawn of Henderson; and a sister, Alma Selby of Princeton.

 

Funeral services were held Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joe Wilson and the Rev. Darrell Stroud officiating.

 

Burial was in the Union Community Church Cemetery, Union.

 

Visitation was held Saturday at the funeral home.
