Carl A. Atkins 72 of Oakland City, IN entered rest at 5:15 P.M. at his home on Tuesday July 8, 2008,

He was born on December 22, 1935 in Pike County to Steward and Nettie (Jullian) Atkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice (Corn) Atkins, a sister Lillie Underwood, and brothers Jack and Claude Atkins.

He was retired from J. H. Rudolph after 25 years of services in Evansville, IN. He was a 50 year member of Lynnville F. & A.M. LODGE # 396.

Surviving family members include a son Andy Atkins and companion (Diane) of Oakland City, IN.

Grandchildren: Adrian, Alex and Amanda Atkins. Great-Grandchildren Crystal Atkins and Collin Helsley

Several nieces and nephews plus several great nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday July11, 2008 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Mike Atkins will officiate.

Visitation will be 10:00 A.M.until services at the chapel.
