98, of Chambrel at Club Hill in Garland Texas ,
formerly of Oakland City, In. passed away on Monday at LakePointeMedicalCenter in Rowlett, Texas.
She was born on Nov. 12, 1906 in OaklandCity to Ray and Lillian (Jenkins) Cockrum.
She graduated from OaklandCityHigh
spent most of her life in OaklandCity where she has been a commercial photographer. She was
a member of GoodShepherdUnitedMethodistChurch for 83 years, and the Oakland City Chapter of Eastern
Star for 77 years. She also founded the local chapter of the Rainbow Girls and
was active for 35 years on the state and local levels, and was Mother Advisor
for over 50 years
She was preceded in death by husband Roy in January 8, 1992.
Surviving are a son Don and wife Jan Cochren of Dallas,
grandchildren: Chris, Diana, Mickey, David, Kelli,
and four great grandchildren
Funeral services will be Sunday August 21, 2005 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in MontgomeryCemetery in Oakland City, IN, Dr. Douglas Low will officiate.
Visitation will be from Saturday and from until services on Sunday at the Chapel.
