PRINCETON ---James A. (Tweety) Greene Sr., 54, died at 4:19 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes of cancer.

He was born January 4, 1946, in Gibson County to Rollin and Evaglene (Adrian) Greene.

He was a retired coal miner and truck driver.  He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. 

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Newton) Greene; grandson whom he raised, Adrian Greene of Princeton; mother, Evaglene Greene of  Princeton; five children, Jamie L. Brown of Columbus, Ohio, James A Greene of Columbus, Tiffany Greene of Columbus, Jennifer M. Priestly of Princeton; and Dustin Priestly of Princeton; three brothers, John Greene of Princeton, Rollin Greene Jr. Of Indianapolis and Frank Greene of Hunbolt, Tenn.; three sisters, Agnes Chavis of Princeton, Mania Lewis of Princeton and Luemirtha Phillips of Evansville; three grandchildren in Columbus and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rollin Greene and a brother, Bobby Greene.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. William Payne and the Rev. Floyd Edwards will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka.  Friends may call at Colvin Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. On Friday and after 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
