Ruth A. Heacock, 88, of Martinsville formerly of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Friday December 7, 2007 at 9:40 A.M. at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN.

She was born on March 15, 1919 in Winslow, IN to Earl and Cora (Willis) Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dewayne Heacock on August 24, 1999; sisters Eldina Poehlein, Mary Lou Sharfenberger, and Beatrice Richardson.

Surviving are a son, Wm. Allen (Karen) Heacock of Martinsville, IN; daughter: Kaye (Don) Krusenklaus of Holland, IN; grandchildren Christy Brashears, Christopher Niehaus, Don Alan Krusenklaus, Melissa Payne, Jeanette Sier, Jeff Krusenklaus; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Berlin of Oakland City, IN, and Phyllis Preston of Fort Smith AR; plus several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 10, 2007 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial following in Augusta Cemetery in Augusta, IN, Rev. William Covey will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday at the chapel and from 8:00 A.M.until services on Monday.
