Princeton--- Dale ‘Elmer’ P. Johnson, 59, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at The Waters of Princeton.

          Born Oct. 25, 1948 in Vincennes, he was the son of Morris and Roberta (Burkhart) Johnson.

          He was a lifelong area resident.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He was employed at the Kingsbury Mine as a general laborer.

Survivors include daughters, Angela (Joe) Bean of Mackey, Amy (Bill) Masters of Francisco; sisters, Nancy (Steve) Sullivan of Union, Becky (Patrick) Driscoll of Princeton, Sandy Johnson of Waynesburg, Pa.; and grandchildren, Tyler and Sam Bean, and Avary and Savannah Masters.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 There will be a private family graveside service with the VFW Post 1147 performing military honors.

Visitation with the family will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Doyle Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St. in Princeton.

The family suggests memorials contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 6301 Old Boonville Hwy Suite B, Evansville, 47715.
