Cornelius A. “Neil” Martin, 78, of Francisco, IN entered rest on Monday May 14, 2007 at 4:05 P.M. at his home.

He was born on May 11, 1929 in Haubstadt, IN to Carl and Flora (Knapp) Martin.

He was a Life member of Oakland City American Legion Post # 256 and Haubstadt Knights of Columbus. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was employed several years with Roy Lynch Farms.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charline Martin in June 26, 2001; brother, Virgil Martin; sister, Mary Rose Olinger.

Surviving family members include:  Sisters, Imelda Heerdink of Evansville, IN, Patricia (Jim) Davis of St.Wendel, IN, AnnLee (Ed) Botzum of Haubstadt, IN; brothers, Melvin Martin of Haubstadt, IN, Bob (Connie) Martin of Oakland City, IN, Don Martin of Houston, Texas, Jim (Judy) Martin of Princeton, IN, Alvin Martin of Elberfeld, IN, Gerald Martin of Ft. Branch, IN and Gene ( Phyllis) Martin of St Wendel, IN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 A.M ., Saturday May 19, 2007 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel continued at 10:00 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Oakland City, with Fr. Ronald Zgunda officiating, burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel.  A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 7:00 P.M.
