Harlon A. “Tunny” Mason, 78, of Oakland City, IN passed away on Monday Dec. 13, 2004 4:20 P.M. at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN.

He was born on Oct. 13, 1926 in Pike Co, IN to Emery and Tempa Elizabeth (Fleener) Mason .

He was a member of U.M.W.A Local 1907; he worked for 25 years at Kings Mine and Amax Coal Ayshire Mine; Board Member of U.M.W.A. Sub District; American Legion Post # 256 in Oakland City; V.F.W. Post 3587 in Petersburg, IN.  He served in the United States Navy for 3 months.

He was preceded in death by a son Gary Mason July 27, 1993.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years the former Shirley “Feaster” Mason; children, Mark A. Mason, Oakland City, IN, Eddie R. Mason, Poulsbo, Washington, Malinda K. Grubb, Ontario Canada, Charles K. Mason, Washington, IN, Lisa K. Feathers, Newburgh, Ind., Tammy J. Haller, Woodford, Virginia, Shannon Green, Francisco, IN; 15 grandchildren: six step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; brother, Jack Mason, Lexington, KY; special extended family Cory & Andy Wahl, Adam Lubbehusen, Jason Fuchs.

Funeral Services will be Saturday December 18, 2004 11:00 A.M. Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, Burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Darin D. Nossett officiating,

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Saturday at the chapel.
