Walter A. McKnight, 75, of Oakland City, IN entered rest Wednesday January 31, 2007 at 11:15 P.M. at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN.

He was preceded in death by a son Thomas McKnight in November 25, 2001 and his first wife Dorothy McKnight on November 20, 2000.

He owned and operated H & T. Enterprises in Oakland City for 31 years and was Auto Mechanic Instructor at Oakland City University.  He was life member of Oakland City American Legion Post # 256 and life member of American Motorcycle Association.

Surviving family members are his wife, Rita: a son, Kevin McKnight of Somerville, IN; daughters, Margaret McKnight of St. Louis, MO, Mary Culbertson of Oakland City, IN, Grace Luttrell of Patoka, IN, Joyce McKnight: of Evansville, IN, JoAnn Church of Oakland City, IN; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday February 5, 2007 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Oakland City with Fr. Bernie Etienne celebrant.  Burial in Blackfoot Cemetery near Coe, In.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday and from 8:00 A.M. until 9:15 A.M. Monday Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with memorial services at 7:00 P.M. Sunday.
