James H. Parmenter, 86, of Conyers, Georgia formerly of Gibson County, IN passed away on Thursday September 29, 2005 at Rockdale Medical Center.

During Jim’s career he was employed for 26 years at Celanese Brush Company in Princeton, where he was Production Superintendent and later Plant Manager.  He retired in 1977 from General Tire and Rubber in Evansville as Production Superintendent.  He was a life long race car enthusiast and driver was charter member of Antique Auto Racing Association of Ohio and Daytona Antique Auto Racing Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Blanche Parmenter; brother, Charles Parmenter; and sister Juanita Stevens all of Princeton.

Surviving is his wife of 33 years, Elaine (Blaize) Parmenter; daughters, Melodie and David Ransford of Princeton, IN, Susan and Larry Ingram of Marion, IN, Linda Collins of Princeton, IN, Judy Parmenter of Palm Beach, FL; step children, Susan Taber and Rusty Graves of Lexington, KY, David and Melissa Arbuthnot of Ft. Branch, IN, Debra And Homer McIntosh of Oakland City, IN; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Bob Allen of Goose Creek, South Carolina, brother and sister-in-law, Harlan and Dorothy Parmenter of Bloomington, IN; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three nephews; a niece; and his beloved little girls, Coco and Chanel.

Memorial services will be Tuesday October 4, 2005 10:00 A.M. at the Oakland City Church of the Nazarene, Rev. Darin D.Nossett officiating.
