Myrtle Lorene Phillips, 90, passed away Tuesday Dec. 30, 2008 at the home of her son in West Palm Beach, Fla. 

She was born in
Ft. Smith Ark., Oct. 26, 1918 to Gus and Emma (Felkins) Smith. 

She lived in
Florida since 1959 moving there from West Virginia.  She worked in retail sales and attended the Methodist church.

 Myrtle is survived by two sons, Robert Lee (Carolyn) Phillips of Eatonville, Ga., William Lewis Phillips III of West Palm Beach, Fla., daughter, Joe Ann (Bud) Lively of Pax, W.Va.; daughter-in-law, Kay Phillips of Ft. Myers, Fla.; sister, Emily Hawkins of Tucson, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Gloria Phillips, Carol and Jack Hale, and Imogene and Dick Padgett all of Francisco.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lewis Phillips Jr. in 1966; son, Jerry Phillips on
Oct. 5, 2008, infant son, Gary; brother, William Gus Smith; and three sisters, Nell Kelly, Aurella Pitts and Virginia Hayden.

 Funeral services will be at the
2 p.m. Monday Jan. 5, 2009 at the gravesite in Francisco I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Burial will follow the services. 

Friends may call from
12:30 a.m. until 1:30 pm. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home then go in procession to the cemetery for the services.
