Patricia L. Phillips

 

Patricia L. Phillips, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

          Born April 20, 1927 in New Goshen, Ind., she was the daughter of Alex and Mildred (Whitted) Gilmour.

          She resided in Princeton her entire life.  She was a 1945 graduate of Princeton High School.  She was a member of the National Honor Society.  She retired after 28 years of service with the Gibson County Auditor’s Office.  She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of both the VFW 1147 and American Legion Post 25 of Princeton.

          In her prime, Pat was an excellent bowler and was always an avid sports fan.  She enjoyed watching her two granddaughters’ games.

          Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Bob Phillips of Princeton; daughter, Linda Barton of Princeton; son, James Phillips of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Robyn Slayton of Princeton, Whitney Barton of Hobart; and brother, Alex Gilmour, Jr. of Gilbert, Ariz.

          She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Gilmour.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton with Rev. Jarmon Perkins officiating.

          Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the services.  Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling the arrangements.
