Amie Fern Sims, 81, of Winslow, Ind. died Friday, August 27, 2004 at 10:00 P.M. at Petersburg Healthcare Center in Petersburg, Ind.

She was born on Oct, 6, 1922 in Pike Co. Ind. to Roy and Cleatis (Houchins) McKinney.

She had worked for several years and retired from K-Mart Store in Evansville, Ind.  She was a lifetime member of American Legion Post # 256 Auxillary in Oakland City, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; first husband, Joseph O. Biggs in  1951 and second husband, Haskell Sims Jr.  in 1997.

Survivors:  Sons and daughter-in-laws, Charles and Linda Biggs, of Winslow, Ind., Joe and Martha Biggs, of Reading, Pa., Steve and Lana Sims of Winslow, Ind.; daughters and son-in-laws, Deann and David Hunt of Winslow, Ind., Mary Gayle and Jerry Gates of Gentryville, Ind., Debbie and Rick Miller of Newburgh,Ind.; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Helena Jenkins of  Princeton, Ind., Oleva Butcher of Oakland City, Ind.; brother, Malcolm McKinney, Evansville, Ind.

Funeral services will be Tuesday August 31, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, Ind., with Rev. Gary Pancake officiating, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M., Monday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Tuesday at the chapel.  Memorial service will be conducted by American Legion Post # 256 Auxillary at 7:15 P.M. Monday at the chapel.
